04 · Reconciliation and Payouts

The Books Close Themselves. Mostly.

Reconciliation will compare what we recorded with what the network and the bank say. When they differ, it becomes a line with a name on it, not a surprise at the end of the month.

Whoever keeps the books will be able to go from a line on a bank statement to the payments inside it, and from a payment to the evidence on each of its stations.

  • Every amount opens to show what balances it
  • Exports for whoever does your accounts
  • Nothing is quietly edited: a correction is another line with a name on it

Many Payments Join One Payout

The braid shows which payments went in and which stayed out. A held amount will say why and when it comes back. A date shown ahead of time will be marked as an estimate, not a promise.

05 · When Money Comes Back

Refunds and Disputes

A refund will run back beneath the line it came from, to where it started. A dispute will show what's being kept, why, and until when.

Back the way it came. On a sample of GH₵150.00, both the customer and the merchant see the same return.

A Dispute

The amount kept back appears in Why It Isn't More, with the date it will be decided. Nothing vanishes from the payout without a line saying where it went.

A Complaint

A customer will be able to reach a person and follow what happens, with the clocks the law sets. See Trust and Compliance.
